Hello all,

I'm in Rome next week and wondered if anybody knows of any good CD shops there that they could recommend? Many thanks in advance.

Trying to think back Eru - I think I only managed to get to one of the big Ricordi stores (there are lots of other things to be dong in Rome!). I was after new music, and wasn't terribly impressed - think HMV. Wasn't even that cheap either. But flicking through my Lonely Planet guide (this is from 6 years ago, mind) I'd say I'd make a beeline now for Disfunzioni Musicali (Via degli Etruschi 4-14, a little south of the University; there's a second hand place too round the corner at Via dei Marrucini 1) or L'Allegretto (Via Oslavia 44, just north of the Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini). Have you tried Googling for "Rome record shops" or similar? Often there are decent guides available online.

Many thanks trj - much appreciated. Found a recording of Ernani (of all things!) with Milanov, Del Monaco, Warren and Siepi under Mitropolous that I'm looking forward to spinning...
