Cos if it is, I expect that between us those who contribute there know at least someone - and probably many more - from every foundation in the country.

So if things go amiss on the R3 board, we ought to email them in a couple of weeks and pass on the site address, didn't we?

bws as usual

Perhaps he's done it to celebrate our new-found freedom to post in languages other than "English - Welsh and Gaelic may be used where marked"?  Wink

Simonsagt,

I had the effrontery to suggest to Michael that we had a "Choral" department so that we could discuss CE, The Choir, et al;  Michael had the kindness to adopt my suggestion within minutes.  I trust the other regular CE contributors will also join us.  It's a pity in a way that tomorrow's offering from Durham is slightly out on a limb -- I hope it doesn't get us off on the wrong foot!

I'm disappointed you didn't opt for DicitSimon!

Barko: Nice one - well done!

Ollie: well I hadn't actually thought of that, but now you mention it, it's yet another good reason. (Though I have to say that I've personally never been modded on CMoR3 for using other languages.)

Martle: because, as a supposed linguist, I'm ashamed that my German isn't up to scratch. I'm trying to remedy that at the moment. In fact, I've planned a week around Germany with one of my mates in June and that should help a lot. (Burghers of heidelburg lock up your daughters!  Tongue )Also, I wanted to keep the second "S" format from my screen name.

bws to all

Am I right in thinking that today marks the last live Wednesday CE?
I'll be in the congregation to mark the occasion before performing some Stockhausen.

I hope you'll let them finish the Evensong before beginning, though, HarmonyHarmony? [reaches for a devilish smiley and fails to find one near to hand.. Wink]

Ooh! The possibilities...
Unfortunately to all Crazy Karlheinz fans, it'll not be broadcast on R3. In a very ordered fashion we shall make our way the few steps from the cathedral to the Music Department where we shall be performing at 6:30. I'm taking my clarinet, music box and mbira.

What a wonderful place you have here...love what you've done with the decoration - I think this will be a great meeting place, and a lot more fun too.  The beeb have bitten off their nose to spite their face.  More fool them.

I couldn't help noticing there was more than one reference in the prayers giving thanks for and praising Harmony. You didn't slip the Precentor a tenner did you?

(No, that's tenner, not tenor.)

Slightly sideways, though not really off-topic, might I just point out (should there be any interested parties) that the companion Jazz Matins to Roddy Williams's Evensong, broadcast last year on CE, turned up on R4 this morning, and is presumably available on Listen Again.
