Well...it was 1935

« on: 19:39:29, 14-09-2008 »

A belated heads-up covering the field of American elections;

BBC 4     19.15 -  21.00      "The Candidate"       Michael Ritchie's perceptive film of 1972.
Robert Redford, a sharp portrayal - and just listen to his final, memorable line in the script!
The supporting cast has actors who deserve the name; Peter Boyle, Don Porter and, particularly, the great Melvyn Douglas.

BBC 4     22.00 hrs  -  0015 hrs.  "Primary Colours" (1998).     This has been seen quite regularly
in recent years but is always worth another viewing.

Back to my armchair.
