Well...it was 1935

This film is trite and over-long but the aerial sequences are enthralling, accompanied by a dynamic score from Jerry Goldsmith.     The cast includes George Peppard, James Mason, Anton Diffring and Derren Nesbitt.  Aficionados of military uniforms may also enjoy the spectacle.

It is being screened at 14.00 hrs - 16.30 hrs on BBC 2:  Saturday 20 September.   I shall switch over from digital to analogue as I want to see the film in its widescreen ratio.
