Displays of ignorance are never a good thing. However, I supplicate myself yet again to you good and knowledgable people and kindly ask for help in identifying my no doubt error-strewn realisation of a piece I've often heard and can well imagine is by Nyman or Glass. I assume it has its origins in a soundtrack to some Greenaway-type production.

I've posted a music sample here.

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

It's from an advert isn't it?
I can't remember what it's supposed to be advertising though...

Reva,

I don't know.  But I have one of those nagging little voices at the back of my mind which says Nyman - Draughtsman's Contract.

Maybe try an Amazon search for that and listen to snippets

Good Luck

PS - isn't the advert something to do with getting your tax self-assessment in quickly.  One of those Tax doesn't need to be taxing lies from HMRC.......
