I see that M Lasserre has recorded that too.
That would be Mme Lasserre I presume? Or perhaps Mlle. Gosh! Yes. I was unconsciously conflating her with François Lasserre, author of The Birth of Mathematics in the Age of Plato, which is also quite interesting... perhaps they're related.

Damn. I mean good. I mean damn. Who has my copy of Spiral? I dimly remember lending it to someone but I can't remember who.
Oh oh. This isn't going to spark a 'Where is it?' thread Mark II, is it? No, something far worse, a WHO HAS IT? thread. One of them DROWNS every day until I get it back.

The one already trying to escape on the right, I'd guess. I don't have it, rb, honest.

NEVER LEND YOUR FAVOURITE CDs TO ANYONE!
Or your books or music scores! It's the worst possible thing you can do! Best, Alistair

The very worst possible? Not sure about that. Drowning poor cute little defenceless kittens seems to be a little further up the worstness scale to me...

ONE DOWN, FIVE TO GO. I don't like having to do this, but I really want to listen to those CDs and they're very expensive.
Own up, whoever you are. Don't let more cute little lives be wasted.

Slightly off-topic, but I'm interested in your method of extermination, Richard. Bricks in a sack?

No, the tried and tested Sicilian method of setting their pretty little paws in a block of concrete.

Don't get me wrong, I love kittens as much as anyone else and this whole nasty business gives me great pain.

Somewhere, in richard barrett's cellar, he practices on his lap top as another one prepares to bite the dust. Please whoever has those cds, hand them over. Do you want this on your conscience?
