To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Radio3, we're being promised goodies galore: more treasures from the archives. Tomorrow week, there's a repeat of a concert from Westminster Abbey in 1995 as part of the Fairest Isle festival: Dove, Purcell, Gibbons, Byrd, Handel, Tippett, Britten, whilst AP works its way through a string of BBC commissions, including works by Colin Matthews, Ruders, Cowie, Holt, Skempton, MacMillan, Birtwistle, Django Bates, Sawer, David Matthews, HK Gruber and our own Stuart MacRae. What with new material such as the Glyndebourne Turn of the Screw and a Marin Alsop Mahler 3 from Poole not to mention a Pollini Emperor Concerto, it rather looks as if the station's getting a kick start for Autumn.

Better late than never!
