The (brief) last scene of Wozzeck. Again and again. This just sends me, because of its beauty, its brevity, its dramatic irony and pathos, its technical perfection, and its breathtaking audacity as a way to end a complex tragedy.

Sarah Walker - Piano recital at the old BMIC in Stratford Place, July 2001. Currently up to Dave Smith's "Number Seven's Done a Runner" (written for the pianist in question in 2000).

The Seeger/Grainger disc from the Schoenberg Ensemble Box. Having been let down by my original supplier (who didn't actually have it in stock, wasn't aware that it was sold out, then waited for two weeks before telling me), I spent a busy time desperately trying to find anyone who might actually have one on the premises. The effort paid off, and one was delivered late this afternoon....

Very happy bunny, even before Easter, though tomorrow will be a tough training day for the big walk next month...

Cheers, Bryn:

I should have paid more attention when you first talked about it, shouldn't I?....
