Thanks, JW - I think my occasional work with the Beeb (on R4) won't be prejudiced by a harmless piece of satire in the interests of trying to perk-up innovative programming on 3...  especially if done under a pseudonym :-)

I hope it may be of some relief to report that Henry Kelly has been strapped ,with apparent permanence,to a commode in the Aldermaston area whence he hosts (of course) a phone-in.

In your putative schedule you left out 0400-0402 Choral Evensong, introduced by Roger Royle,  sponsored by Betjeman Multimice and co.

Two minutes still leaves time for 1-2 of the shortest Introits in the repertory to be sung in full - surely this is too generous, Draco? Wink  But four in the morning is a realistic slot for Evensong, and thank you for suggesting it.  What time of the night do you think would be suitable for Midnight Mass?   I was thinking around 05:30am, how would that suit you?

Keep things as they are PLUS...

Put in permanent broadcasting equipment at major venues such as wigmore hall, queen festival hall, albert hall, covent garden to broadcast live music 'as it happens'.

Do some live jazz from jazz clubs.

Hook up with bbc 4 for dual broadcasts live from major concerts, opera, ballet etc.
