Although its tick-the-diversity box time, Ms Nwanoku is a pro bassist and musical organiser so as an influence on
the culture her presence might be a very good thing.
re: the 'nitwit' factor, remember that uber-nitwits have ordained that highly skilled people write scripts that sound like
nvq 1 essays, and consider the grating on the intellect that prefigures the showing up for the gig and the receipt of the
cheque. In the words of Vivan Stanshall and the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, its '...The Count Basie Orchestra on Triangle'.
I think J Jolly will have a William Holden 'Network' moment and yell into the mike '...I 'm mad as hell and I can't take it any more' one of these days. The Doc could read a railway timetable and I'd be agog.

I agree with Bryn, Dracom (and lovedaydewfall).  Nice voice & personality and she knows what she is talking about musically.

I think it is sad that we have such offensive (and off-the-mark) posts as No. 1.

It's a matter of opinion, innit? And you happen to disagree. So why was my original post "offensive (and off-the-mark) "?

Quite right. I happen to like Sarah Walker's voice and I don't like Sara M-P's. So what? I'll listen to one and not the other. Others are bound to have different preferences.

I haven't heard Chi-chi Nwanoku's programme but I loved a piece she performed on TV a few years ago which required her to play a very difficult d/b solo while reciting a script describing what she was doing. Think it was called "Failing" but I'll have to check on that. Anyone else seen it?

Fair enough, Andy, but you haven't explained why my original comments were offensive and/or off the mark...

No idea why someone thought they were, but it wasn't me, so I can't answer you, I'm afraid!

I wonder if it might just have been something about the title of the thread? Now if if it had read "The teenage nitwit now jabbering on about Classical Collection" ...
