I plan to find a site with a disc by disc track listing, copy and paste the information from that site, and print out slips, one to go with each CD. Brilliant Classics do a far better job with their CD envelopes.

Perhaps I'm feeling excessively grumpy (although this particular morning I don't see why that should be Smiley) but I can't help feeling annoyed at the DG Messiaen Cube for the way that those who already have the vast majority of things in it (who ought surely to be a fan base DG might consider encouraging...) have to cross their fingers and twiddle their thumbs if they're ever going to hear the rest - or shell out for the whole box and then ditch what they already have, despite the accompanying material on what they already have being by the look of things very considerably superior.

Hmf.

(I've just bought the Anima Eterna Beethoven box by the way. All the CDs are just in blank individual window envelopes. Sealed. What on earth is the point of that?)

To prove they're "tamper-free" (as it were Shocked)?

At least you can see what's on each CD (unlike the Messiaen box).

The one that's now spinning here (in Brockley):

Symphony no. 5 op. 67
Symphony no. 4 op. 68

I'm looking forward to track 5 solving the mystery.

Just ordered (and confirmation email received, quoting the given price of £13.99 including 'free' p&p):

http://hmv.com/hmvweb/advancedSearch.do?searchType=4&pGroupID=1&primaryID=1&subPrimaryID=209&searchUID=1786877106031323998&title=&artist=&catalogue=OP30470&format=&secondaryID=-1&label=

Must surely be an error in pricing (by a factor of 10?), but if they honour it ...

What a coincidence!  Cheesy

Although I've splashed out on the postage and told them to send it to Köln...

# 277    Thanks for the tip, Bryn.     I've also jumped on the £13 99 bandwagon and received e-mail   confirmation!    Smiley

Er, could I please ask some kind member to order one for me? The HMV website won't load here.

I'm trying to buy one as I type this, but the checkout page looks like it's not loading fully (it's all white) and none of the 'continue'-type links work...

What's going on? I want me some Vivaldi!

I think I just managed it, Robert, by switching from Safari to Camino. Maybe try a different browser.

And everyone please ignore my previous post! thank you!

PS or you could try here  Shocked

Thanks very much, Richard. For the former suggestion, rather than the latter Roll Eyes.

Printed out my receipt. Most excited.

They seem to have fixed the price on their checkout (to £169) but it's still coming up as £13.99 on the main page.
