Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that my latest productions can now be seen on the London Symphony Orchestra website: promo films on the music and performers featured in the orchestra's 2008/9 season.

Already up on the site to view is 'Emigre', featuring two LSO players from other countries that have made London their home:

Also available is 'Exotiques', which has Stephen Johnson talking about the influence of the East on Debussy, with particular reference to the Prelude de l'apres midi d'un faune, which we see performed by Gergiev and the LSO.

Hopefully, by the end of the day there will be another, 'Heirs & Rebels', with Rob Cowan and Sir Colin Davis talking about British music in the 1930s and profiling Vaughan Williams's 4th Symphony, Walton's Belshazzar's Feast and the influence of Elgar. (will be at http://lso.co.uk/heirsandrebels)

Next week, 3 more :
- Nikolaj Znaider talks about the 3 concertos he is performing with the LSO next year - by Schoenberg, Korngold and Brahms.
- In 'Love Brahms?', LSO players and Andre Previn reveal their passion for Brahms.
- In 'Last Words' Stephen Johnson talks about the final works of Sibelius, Tchaikovsky and Strauss.

I've made a lot more films, most of them longer than the promos above, which will be seen across the year on the LSO site - featuring interviews and features with Andre Previn, Valery Gergiev, Bernard Haitink, Nikolaj Znaider, Colin Davis and our resident specialists Rob Cowan and Stephen Johnson.

Hope you enjoy the films!

best wishes,

Tommy
