Good old Sky Arts. They broadcast Tristan and Isolde this evening. All three acts, in the order 1, 3, 2. How very post-modern of them. Wink

Three different directors? Wink

The city is a process which always veers away from the form envisaged and desired, ... whose revenge upon its architects and planners undoes every dream of mastery. It is [also] one of the sites where Dasein is assigned the impossible task of putting right what can never be put right. - Rob Lapsley

"Recorded in Tokyo during the Deustche Oper Berlin's 1993 Japan tour, Gotz Friedrich's production of the Wagner classic is conducted by Jiri Kout and stars Robert Lloyd."

Just the usual Sky level of competence. Wink

Still waiting for them to broadcast Berio's "Outis" without the audio briefly dropping out every 20 seconds. Sad

But a bet they didn't have Charles Hazelwood popping up between acts, in order to "explain" it to us! Or to interview some non-musician about their reaction to Wagner.

I much prefer the Sky approach (Sorry, I still call it Artsworld) to the condescending, meddling BBC.
