The Aphex 1402 Bass Exciter. Do they do one for Bass-baritones, too?

Apropos rules, there was some confusion over whether the number had to be visible in the picture or just 'be implied'. If it really does have to be visible then a lot of the historical stuff is out. On the other hand, I do personally think the historical stuff from a certain year without a number but with the date supplied by the poster can exist quite happily alongside the auction lists where the only thing the picture has even remotely to do with the number is that someone's stuck it on. Let's face it, I suspect many of us would be in a position to get the computer to just put upcoming numbers on our favourite pictures and post willy-nilly...

That's my frill-necked lizard on the subject anyway.

I agree, Ollie, as long as it's clear which number is implied. And I too prefer that the picture have 'something to do with' the number, though that is neither enforceable nor worth enforcing, just a brass ring to reach out for!!

Oh, better get on with it:

Hmm. I agree. It's not quite the same, is it?
