They've only been open a few hours and I see no evidence whatsoever of moderation.  I think they've learnt their lesson about that and it's nice that finally someone saw sense.

I can't enjoy the Beeb MB at all: not when all my posts take hours (and hours) to go through moderation, and when they finally do get through then you can't edit them or see when they were posted...

I'll wait and see how things pan out, but from infrequent visits over there during the r3ok adventure, I got the strong impression that "this place" was much more of a "cozy" place, a place where it was much easier to distinguish people, and to know where I stood as a result of that.

I'll be in the happy room at some point! Maybe when the slugs have gone!  Wink

Holy cow IRF!  I`ve just popped over there (been a while since I`ve done that) and goggled in amazement while pinching myself. Shame the original decimation had to happen though ....

Has anyone found the apology for the way they behaved in February? Has anyone said "We made a mistake"?

I certainly shan't be returning there. It's so boring for one thing, no pix and awful smileys.

Blimey, not only have they added some new boards, which have eminently sensible titles, they're scrapping the dreadful Music Matters and Burnside boards - perhaps they'll scrap the Burnside programme as well?  Wink

It does make you wonder how these 2 boards ever came into being since Tom Service and Iain Burnside obviously had no interest in the much flaunted "interactivity" - did whoever made the decision actually discuss the idea with anyone else?

No new music board but I suppose that Hear & Now will fit into Performance since most of its content is specially recorded.

All the old disadvantages of BBC boards still remain though ie curfew, no editing of posts, no pictures, no easy quote facility, no formatting of text etc etc
