NSAIDs.

Sorry, Jonathan - what's that when it's at home? Whatever it is, I'm sure I've got it.  Sad

Don`t panic, Martle! NSAID = non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. But you can get it easily by popping down to Boots and scoring some Neurofen Grin

Jonathan:

It'll take about a fortnight for the malic acid to build up on your system: the vinegar itself is available at the majority of supermarkets inexpensively. About a dessert-spoonful in a mug of hot - but not boiling water - first thing in the morning. (I put the right amount of just-boiled water into a thermos the night before, so that by the time I use it it's at the right temperature.)

Anyone know a 100% succesful cure for osteo-arthritis?  Mine is terrible today.   Undecided

I know people laugh at me , but I have arthritis in my little finger ( left hand... great for the violin!) and I wear a magnetic bracelet... I swear it works, I have no pain since I have worn it and it was pretty bad , bent and swollen before... worth a try even if it is psychological !!!

That's great to know those bracelets work, A. I've often seen them and wondered. Though, fingers crossed, I don't need one. I used to get pain in my left wrist on and off over the last 20 years or so and blamed vibrato exercises I did as a teenager - though I didn't practise that much. Recently though I haven't had any pain (ooh tempting fate - shouldn't say that should I?!).

cider vinegar in hot water first thing in the morning.
Do you drink it or bathe in it, Ron Dough?

Actually Cider Vinegar can be used (albeit very much diluted) as a shampoo. It takes all the nasty oils away without stripping off the natural ones (which is what commercial products do on their holiday with their feet up).

So do you just pour it on your head? I'm not a salad, you know?

Perhaps you're always moaning about your ailments!

My sister-in-law bought me "Vinegar 1001 Practical Uses"

Here's no.967: Prevent chickens from pecking one another by adding a small dose of vinegar to their water. Hmm...most helpful.

Actually, it's put me off using vinegar in recipes as about 850 of the Practical Uses are for miracle cleaning eg of blocked drains, so what on earth does it do to your insides?  Shocked

I walked too much for me. My feet are just weak, and have been for about five years now. Friends say it's because I did too much ballet as a child/teenager, but I don't think it is. Lots of people do ballet and their feet are fine. My father was rather similar, so I suppose it's just inherited.

The rest of me is perfectly all right, though! Smiley
