It seems to me that looks are far more important to you than whether or not they like classical music. Would you be so fond of a small dumpy, spotty, classical musician I wonder?

I've always thought that if this chap was a cute chick or a Vengerov-style himbo we'd have heard infinitely more from him... still, at least he has a quasi-fashionable beard nowadays...

On the other hand, it means that LK has been able to pursue what interests him rather than preening around the international circuit concentrating on the warhorses...

Thing is my favourite things of his are a live Berg from the Beeb MM and a live Bartók 2 I heard in concert and then grabbed through Listen Again (sound's not up to much but it's a more than adequate memory refresher) - neither of those is in circulation. The Ysa˙e is lovely, as are the Sibelius concertos disc and the ECM Ravel/Enescu, but I do hope he gets a chance to get his best stuff out there in the world - his last big release as far as I know was the Mozart concertos on Sony but that's not for me what he does best...

Or, indeed, which net you're shooting in to.

Wait...that sounds worse the longer I leave it....

Cora Venus Lunny went down really well with the lads when she took part in a recent Dublin production of Sweeney Todd (just finished this Saturday; it got really good reviews; didn't see it myself though, alas), so I've been told.
