A very strange dream a few days ago which involved a distinguished member of these very Boards. It all started naturalistically enough. I was being driven in my large black Rolls Royce to an important premiere dressed, as is my wont on these occasions, in my Diaghilev outfit, when I spotted none other than young Daniel gesticulating urgently by the kerbside. Most odd. I couldn't work out what he was trying to communicate but I wound down the window, threw him a few gold sovereigns, and we glided on. It seemed the least I could do. My last vision of him through the rear window was of him gesticulating even more wildly in my direction. It was very disconcerting and has left me strangely unsettled ever since. What can it have meant?

Last nights dream was really bizarre - falling out of a window onto a moving pavement of tesselated shapes.  That and loosing my keys and finding them round my ankles and the person I was with (a friend from work, I think) disappearing when I was in a maze.

Perhaps I am mad after all?

I woke up exhausted, with a start, having dreamed a heavy weight was bearing down upon me, and a pain in my neck. "Oh no! The succubus really does exist!" I thought, before remembering that I had been watching Herzog's Nosferatu last night. Phew!  Cheesy

I awoke with memories of my dreams last night but now, as usual, they have evaporated.

George, in my experience that dream can only mean one thing. You will shortly be approached by a dark haired, smooth talking turtle bearing a pannier of Weetabix garnished with prunes cunningly disguised as custard. Do not be seduced by these gifts, the collapse of your sock suspenders will be the inevitable consequence.

I had a dream on Wednesday that I was going to a Baroque recital in Kensington.  At the door the Maitre D'  (dressed in a DJ) took my money - £9 which included a plate of nibbles - and he said "It's a very intense performance, you won't enjoy it".  I entered the room, which had wooden floors and walls and the seating was raked at a severe angle and off-kilter, rather like M. Escher.  Suddenly the strange woman who lives  up the road appeared and we decided to go to Weatherspoons before proceedings started to use the loo.  When we got there she said she couldn't have a pee in front of a stranger and she didn't have her navy coat on so we left.

From there we joined up with some people and were at a disused reservoir (or lido?) and they were throwing traffic cones into the half-empty water.  I worried about missing the recital and she said "It's very intense, you won't enjoy it".  So we set off for home.

I woke up shouting in the middle of last night, having dreamed that I was being stabbed repeatedly with a huge pair of scissors by Cornelius Cardew, a possibility which Bryn had warned me about earlier in the dream.

Somehow I can't imagine the title 'Dial W for Murder' catching on.

Over the last two nights I've been having some rather vivid and surreal dreams about work.
I find it rather strange because I've not dreamed about Edinburgh before and for the last two nights my dreams have been completely invaded by it.
Last night, I dreamed that we had expanded the department (which makes sense - we were talking about that yesterday) and created a performance centre. Strangely, it was the building which houses our offices which had been converted only it looked nothing like that building. It was a modern two-storey development in dark wood with complete sound insulation and moveable panels and completely customisable seating. For some reason I was playing second violin and I have never played a string instrument. Ever.

George  Cheesy.

I only just chanced upon this post, but I knew it was you! I was trying to tell you that there were now endless snatches to be scrutinised on R3OK and that you might wish therefore to cast your regal gaze in its direction.

Btw, thanks for the gold sovereigns. Perhaps you'd like to know that I put them towards a new towel for myself to use in dreams, so I would no longer have to use Menzies Campbell's.  Grin

I dreamt this morning that someone kept ringing my doorbell. I was struggling to get downstairs and then I couldn't get the locks undone. I tried calling out to them to wait but I couldn't do more than whisper. Then I woke and I realised that the bells ringing were the contestants on Just a Minute - I'd put a minidisc of it on earlier and dozed off listening to it. Cheesy

Last night I dreamt that I was using the wrapper from a bag of Mozzarella to clean a toilet seat.

Should I be worried?
