A pollen grain it is, so Bryn gets today's prize. I don't know which species produced it, but it's a detail from this:

Hmmm. Well the top two-thirds looks a bit like the ancient stone brochs to be found in Shetland. But the bottom third....doesn't.

A twentieth century sculpture based on the broch idea? Commissioned by the Eigg Tourist Board?

When you look at it with your nose pressed up against the screen (we all have our funny little ways) it rather resembles the old `globe` that the Beeb used on their news programme years ago. Except it`s the wrong colour of course and the `countries` are very blurry and ....  Actually it doesn`t look anything like it.

It certainly isn't an easy one for me, Bryn. As for mine, George, your mention of Gabo was very astute indeed - but, I'm sorry to say, incorrect. It isn't a sculpture.

Astute..... but wrong. You are too gentle with me Richard Cheesy (but please continue to be, I bruise easily). A good inscription for my gravestone though. I'll add it to the shortlist.
