Part, fools. Put up your cheese. You know not what you do.

Are you perchance suggesting that we cannot tell our Gorgonzola from our Brie, or is it that you presume that even if we can we have no idea what to do with them?

Speak!

Couple it with something: make it a word and a cheese!

OK - let's try...

While I feast my cheese, you only talk chalk.
When I eat my double Edam, you talk double Dutch.
When I gnaw my Swiss cheese it seems holier than thou.
While others climb Cheddar Gorge, I gorge my Cheddar.

...is that the kind of thing Ollie?

I was wondering if our Syd ever composed a Grewy Air...

Never mind that, I had some Roquefort and some Tilsit for dinner (besides other things) and I'm having an attack of the Lady Macbeths in the repeated hand-washing department...  Roll Eyes

Good cheese shops - in Manchester environs, try THE CHEESE HAMLET at the Barlow Moor Road/ Wilmslow Road crossroads.
Yes, it's excellent. One of my kids has discovered the delights of this little shop and demands frequent visits!

The Ink Spots
and Port Salut
Anyone here know this very amusing book?
Well worth sniffing out.

Oop north, it's traditional to eat apple pie with cheese, preferably Cheshire or Lancashire (another very delicious cheese). I'm not sure I've ever actually done it, but it sounds rather nice.

When in Frankfurt, you can try the local delicacy of Handkase mit Musik - a dish of cheese marinated in oil and chopped onions, although there's no actual music supplied  (I'm surprised the Brussels Jobsworths haven't intervened to curtail this blatant misrepresentation...)

What about fruit cake with cheese? I'm sure I've eaten that somewhere.

This picture says:
"A slice of Wensleydale cheese and a piece of fruit cake served in a teashop in Yorkshire, England."

There's this too:

"This cake is specially formulated to eat with cheese, especially Wensleydale!" is the accompanying caption.

I'm not surprised that it should work, really - seems to me to be another take on the time-honoured concept of the fruit and cheese platter...

And, yes, yum!
