I'm afraid that once you're past 500 that would seem to be as far as it goes. But you don't look a day over 450

I think I'll be needing a new pair of trousers now.

Clubbers in North Yorkshire have found a method of injecting Ecstacy straight into the mouth. This dangerous practice is known as E-by-Gum.

Antheil, the republic referendum was one of my many deeply sad times under our Great Leader John Howard. The Guardian described the referendum as showing how deeply rooted Australia's democracy was. I still wonder if the writer knew what 'rooted' means in Australia. I doubt it. He's gone now. The only Prime Minister to lose his seat at a general election since the Great Depression. But forgive me if my joy seems confined. Somehow for the moment it feels as though it might have been too late.

Ollie, I re and re-read Robert Hughes, The Fatal Shore and then I go to Circular Quay and see that good looking Abo (see - I'm doing it!) and then, going into the interirm what have the British done? On, it's a crying shame to see the devastation. Breaks my heart

We can't blame the Poms any more, Antheil... since at least the Second World War they've had their own problems to worry about. Basically anything in the last fifty years is our own work.
