If your turnips are feeling a bit down in the dumps, may I recommend a small touch of the Warwick Deeping treatment?

Prudential wanted me to pay £32 a month for my house (small terrace two-bedroom) insurance. So I phoned and said I was going to change. Result - £19. My son says I could still get a lower quote, but it is more convenient to stay with Pru and I don't think saving an extra £3 or £4 a month would make much difference.

I've just learnt how to do ALT text.

Well Done SusanDoris!!!  You have to keep shopping around I find to get the best deals.  I constantly change credit cards to get 0% balance transfers.  Well done too on ALT Text (not sure what it is of course!)

Commonwealth Day grew out of 'Empire Day' which was celebrated from the time of Queen Victoria - Empire Day was changed to Commonwealth Day in 1958 and it is celebrated by all member nations.
