In the last 2 days, I've found 5 frogs in the garden.

I believe in these days of political correctitude, one must now refer to them as "Frenchies", Jonathan. And are you sure they were five different ones? Did you see them all together at once, or two on one day, and three on the second (or vice versa)? And that being the case, how do you know that you didn't see the same two on separate occasions? Or at least one of them twice? They all look the same to me.

Hi Ron,
Yesterday I saw 3 within 30 seconds of each other and today 2 within 30 seconds of each other!  The two today were one biger one (2 years) and 1 one year old one.

And to put us nicely off topic again -

My brain hurts

That may be so, but nevertheless few people realise that Housman was not particularly familiar with Shropshire.

Nonsense, Mary! All you have to do is prune them and tie them back a little earlier in the season than these so-called 'experts' habitually advise, and you'll be laughing! And badgers love them too!

Martle, I find the problem comes when you introduce dried breadcrumbs prematurely. Although possibly I have not air dried them sufficiently. A tricky problem.

The original parts from the Berlin performance of van Dieren's 1st string quartet were thought to have been left with Varese. Big mistake, that.
...left to marinate in some burgundy for around half a century, right?...

Best,

Could be. I suspect that large black wine-waiter myself.

But the point is, Mort, we all know that Maxwell Davies once cooked a swan.

Yes, Mary, but that does not excuse his coffee. Or the tilting chaise longue.

Millions have experienced, say, the depression in tonality at the beginning of the development in the first movement of Mozart's G minor symphony (K.550), or the twist into F sharp minor, and back again to F major, in the finale of Beethoven's symphony no. 8 - millions have experienced these events without being able to describe them.

Well done John !

That's sooo weird, I've always thought that too, even as a young child! I was always  too embarassed to admit it though. Until now that is. Wow, this is a special moment, thanks!

And vital for us, too, unless we subscribe to something like the John Cage philosophy (which is the very antithesis of Enlightenment).  But then you knew that of course so why waste my time?
