Overheard on the Tube yesterday.

'I'm going to a male Burlesque night but I'm not going to wear my glasses. There are some things that you just don't want to see. D'you know what I mean?'

Overheard at the playground last weekend

"You're a dumb-dumb!"

"No, YOU'RE a dumb-dumb!"

"Okay then why don't you get me some gum-gum!"

"What?!"

"From Dollar General!" [a thrift store]

"You're not making any sense!"

"Your FACE doesn't make any sense!"

Ah, children...

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)

The loo is referred to as "the WC" standing for Water Closet.

There's an area of the Albert Hall called the WC Stalls, iirc.
