I'm sure there was discussion somewhere, by t_i_n, of how some Portuguese-speakers use the word 'panties' to refer to underwear of the male variety. I asked a Portuguese friend about this, to confirm, and she said she had never heard of this use before. What's one to make of this?
Your memory is slightly faulty. It was a Venezuelan who had used the word in that manner.

Yesterday we thought a little ultra-modern music might be nice.

You'll have to have more peas if you don't want any courgettes. Am I cruel mother? You can't answer this as you'd be off-off-topic.

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

And I have been gotten back to: Panties for me is a femenine underwear, and medias pantis would be a long king of socks that women use from the feet to the hips. Does this answer anything? Am I still confused? Oh, I think I am. Maybe moreso, but I feel I am closer to the truth.

Some times I'm afraid convention must give way to conscience. You have been reported to the NSPCC.

Don't know about medias panties, but did you know that your media naranja is your other half? Dated any orange segments recently?
