I realise that it can seem rude to answer a question with a question, especially in this instance as I do not actually know the answer to yours, but I'll just have to take that risk on this occasion and ask which is correct - eight plus eight
is fifteen or eight plus eight
are fifteen? Just to be helpful, however, you can phone a friend or ask the membership of this forum, although you can't have two wrong answers taken away, otherwise that might mean that you would be left with six plus six (etc.)...
