Well that's just typical of the level of debate I've come to expect here.

After all, did not Adorno write "A poetic tremor is expected of every example of emphatic objectivity"?

By the way A, to write e-acute on the PC (i.e. é) hold down Alt while typing 0233 on the numeric keypad, then release the Alt key. OK?

Well, if by that, Ollie, you mean that Weber's pianism was *blatently* influenced by various Beethovinian pianistic tropes, then I'm sure I don't have to tell you that many would disagree. You could do a lot worse than leaf through Felix Lechter's 1983 thesis, Weber and the Immanence of Tropism (available in the BL if you get stuck). I find that whole issue highly problematic, of course, but then I tend to the view that shallots need far longer to mature in the skillet than most would contend.

Can you really maintain that Lechter's work was uninfluenced by his adherence to Tropist principles as later espoused by Adolf Schicklgruber? I don't necessarily think so myself although I might for all you know but I think it's of vital importance to open the question up for heated debate by means of an obscure non sequitur.
