Best one can probably do is listen. Absolutely MT. At the very least one might learn something interesting. Even better, something completely scandalous. Are the nice nurses letting you out for the day yet?

... Are the nice nurses letting you out for the day yet? Well Morticia, I've been discharged because I can't tell the doctors from the patients.

I just discovered a really interesting fact while completing this morning's Sudoku puzzle: if you press too hard on your propelling pencil the lead breaks.

BTW, has anybody ever managed to take apart a propelling pencil and actually locate the propeller?

The television programme QI is full of interesting and entertaining facts, though I rarely remember them afterwards.

Yes - but only the serling silver ones dating between c1880 and 1950 - and then sometimes to find that the propelling mechanism is faulty or missing. The ones made by Mordan are generally OK. Baz
