May I direct Members' attention back to no.301? Clues have already revealed that it is from near the end of the first movement of a piano concerto, one of three by this composer, and I now add that it was written for a pianist who has since become better-known as a conductor.

Hurrah! I am not always so good with Mozart Piano concertos, being familiar with only a handful.

Puzzle 313, which completes a musically connected trio with 288 and 306: SendSpace or Rapidshare
Richard Strauss, Don Quixote.

We shall therefore take a punt at Telemann's Don Quixote for 288. Our apologies if all this might have been played out over the preceding days but we shall probably take a while to get back up to 'speed'.

Is 236 Lalo's Symphony, written in 1886?

It's Mr IGI who gets it this time! Well done. I'm just in between lessons so I can't work out the points yet.

Hurrah! Not a work I know, but have a couple of Lalo discs. It's not necessary to calculate the scores now, as Member Grew has posted on the discussion thread that it's been cancelled.
For purposes of clarification only, in light of my unintentional bagging of extra points, my score should now read: 19062 + 180 = 19242

Mr Grew, when self-scoring stopped I had reached 19000+ points, so am a bit surprised to see myself back to 15,000 when, by my calculations at the weekend, the 22,500 mark had been reached! I trust this is a blip in the new computerised system?!  Shocked

Yes, that's correct!

As is that answer!  Smiley

306 shouldn't be too hard to pin down now, should it?

You may. But the big D minor is far superior!

A further clue to Puzzle 306... it's the opening to a song and is by a French composer.

Ladies and gentlemen, please, there's only been one guess for this one so far. It was composed in 1967 and (to my mind at least) is one of the most emotionally demanding piano concertos there is, and one of its composer's key works.

As for 315, there are actually two composers implicated in the piece it comes from.
