407 - Sinding's Violin Concerto
You are correct for both 406 ad 407 IGI. The Sinding is the Violin Concerto no. 1 in A Major, Op. 45. Well done. Baz

Quite so, and you can appreciate why the clip had to be so short, any longer and there would have been no doubt whatever. As to other, more recent puzzles, I have missed them due to other, even more enjoyable, things taking up my time.

Is 408 Bloch's Concerto Grosso No.2? This is not quite correct. If it's a help, some listings give 1951 as the date of composition (and some 1952)!. The violin is quite prominent though. Baz

Is 407 a viola concerto? May I hazzard a guess at Malcolm Arnold?
Tommo
Edit: Oh - it's the Sinding, which I obviously don't know. Plop.

Hurrah! (It's been quite a profitable evening here on the snatch thread)
That Bloch Suite Hébraïque sounds rather lovely.
