408 – This piece was written in 1952 by a composer who died in 1959.

Is 408 Bloch's Concerto Grosso No.2?

A first clue to No.404: this composer was once a student of César Franck.

You are correct for both 406 ad 407 IGI. The Sinding is the Violin Concerto no. 1 in A Major, Op. 45. Well done.

Quite so, and you can appreciate why the clip had to be so short, any longer and there would have been no doubt whatever. As to other, more recent puzzles, I have missed them due to other, even more enjoyable, things taking up my time. Wink

This is not quite correct. If it's a help, some listings give 1951 as the date of composition (and some 1952)!. The violin is quite prominent though.
