Puzzle 53
Ten Preludes for Solo Cello by Sofia Gubaidulina (number VII) ?

A turgid work isn't it?

You are CORRECT Stuart - well done. It is indeed no.7 ('Al taco – Da punta d’arco').

However, if I were awarding the marks I should deduct 10 because I don't find it turgid!

Blimey, that was a toughie, IGI. A lovely piece by the sound of it though.

Oh, this is my free celebration post by the way - woohoo! Gubaidulina! Yeah!

Correct! Anna.

Well that's two of us who have seen the film. I don't have the DVD but I recall being impressed with that music. I wonder if it's similar/influenced-very-much by something much earlier......

You are quite close Richard, but seem to have forgotten the alphabet! Now what, I wonder, comes after "B"?
