Perhaps this one will take longer than our previous gentle lob.

Perhaps not.

...it seems we ourselves have committed a rather flagrant error of judgement. Just a tick.

Yes. Indeed we had posted a file on which the mp3 IDs were still plain to see once opened in iTunes. It was indeed to have been the Mozart Piano concerto KV 451. Oh well. Back to the proverbial drawing board.

Bother, bother and bother.

Those silly names keep hiding away where one least expects them.

We are disheartened but shall try another one.

Is #1 from Lulu?

We are sorry to have to inform Mr. Matticus that his suggestion is incorrect on this occasion.

We have always thought Berg such a self-indulgent fellow to have produced a thing such as Lulu!

Evidently the creative work of little Anton von holds no fears for Mr. Dish, who has provided the correct answer after two hours and twenty-two minutes!

Here is the running log from reply 54 to reply 58 inclusive:

Mr. Opilec 100 for reply 54 (correct answer after 7 hours 27 minutes)
Mr. Macrae 29 bonus after reply 54
Mr. Grew 100 for reply 56 (new puzzle)
Mr. Dish 100 for reply 57 (correct answer after 2 hours 22 minutes)
Mr. Grew 9 bonus after reply 57

And here is the status of the puzzles so far set:

Puzzle 1: set by Mr. Grew here - as yet unsolved
Puzzle 2: set by Mr. Dish here - as yet unsolved
Puzzle 3: set by Mr. Grew, solved by Mr. Sudden
Puzzle 4: set by Mr. Sudden, solved by Mr. Inquisitor
Puzzle 5: set by Mr. Macrae, solved by Mr. Opilec
  Puzzle 6: void
Puzzle 7: set by Mr. Sudden here - as yet unsolved
Puzzle 8: set by Mr. Grew, solved by Mr. Dish
