Meanwhile - though not only for the benefit of Member Ian Pace - here is

Puzzle 154

I apologize for the unusual length (overrunning by c. 15 seconds), but hope Members will agree that the sheer musical content and interest made this unavoidable.

I'm finding it hard to catch up with all these. No. 139 is Robert Ashley's She Was A Visitor, though this would have been pretty obvious even to those who had never heard it before if Mr Bryn had snatched his snatch from earlier in the piece.

Quite right, richard, though I did recommend listening carefully, and the title can just about be detected at a couple of points in that clip. I wonder how many of us here have taken part in performances of that work?

Sorry, Anty, it's a much earlier work than Celestial Excursions. It makes a very good teaching exercise. It certainly helps develop the singers' listening skills.

Thankyou Baz (surname Ooka?  Grin).

I have noted your request but unfortunately, being a thoroughly upright member myself, I cannot offer you any such guarantee. However do not fret too much as I suspect that a minor Karg-Elert misdemeanour such as yours, would attract little more than three lashes of the Welcome Rod for a first offence.

Congratulations, autoharp! (The first movement, actually, with the Boston Pops Orchestra.)

Thank you for the clues Madame A; a wild guess then for number 132: Vivaldi Violin Sonata opus 2 number 1. (But is that not a sort of violoncello we hear at the end?)

It is a shame is it not that the International Score Library site folded so suddenly so recently. In fact it happened while we were actually downloading something - we got the first movement but when we went back for the second the site had vanished!
