Anty, you seem to have turned into the Easter Bunny! Grin

Indeed tinners, I am that Bunny  Cheesy  Full of sweetness  Kiss

No, re the avatar - I thought it cruel to rub it in that Wales won not only the Triple Crown, The Grand Slam and 5 out of their 5 matches.  Not forgetting defeating England at Twickers and Ireland at Croke Park.  Let alone comprehensively stuffing the French.

It is Easter after all.

I played a concert in famously freezing Lincoln Cathedral last night.  I wore wool tights, thermal leggings and thick socks under my trousers, a vest and two thermal tops under my heavy jumper, two pairs of cashmere wrist warmers, a long jacket, a big pashmina/shawl thingy, a silk scarf wound around my head in the manner of a wide headband - and sat on my down coat.  Yet still I was cold.

Yesterday was the first day of spring.

Ugh.

You've made me really homesick now. Lincoln is my favourite cathedral with its famous imp.  I was born just round the corner from Lincoln Cathedral and my family's bakery was nearby.  My father went to school in Christ Hospital Terrace on Steep Hill.

I think I want to go home.  Sad

Lincoln is a lovely cathedral, and I always think Steep Hill is the ultimate in descriptive simplicity.

I used to run up there as a child.  Grin  Don't think I could do that now! (Well not all the way anyway)

Oh I say! Everything's white outside with more whute stuff falling from the sky. The cats are not impressed and are glaring balefully at it from the kitchen step. Grin

A light dusting of snow here too - already disappearing, but it's very rare to get lying snow south of the Downs.

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)

Snow falling in North London, but not settling.  It never does.  I'm dreaming of a White Easter.

OH BOY DO I HAVE SAND!
I went out this morning and cleared away from the back door and cleaned out the waterfall so that it's merrily tinkling away again.  Still buried in the stuff though.

No snow here and we are not forecast to have any, although the sky looks threatening and it has gone very cold with a biting North-Easterly wind.

A time for keeping warm and munching on Easter Eggs I think  Cheesy
