Tesco, the other cool place.
Did you meet Lord Byron there?

One would fervently hope not.

One boiling hot day in Ely, I spent nearly all day in the cathedral or Tesco, the other cool place.
What was the proportion of time spent in each?

And where did you take more photographs?

As suggested earlier in this thread, we now have a Cathedral and Church thread. Hope the point of 'split' is agreeable to you all.

Weather here - yuk! Just got back from Tesco, probably wasn't a good idea to go when it's very wet and windy.

It's been bucketing down here all afternoon.  I've ordered my Tesco shopping online to be delivered tomorrow.  Dog hasn't been out yet  Sad

It was a lovely morning here - and then the rain came, lots of it. Better now.

Although my team won it was a miserable afternooon sitting in row CC, hood up and hat on, pint at half time was freezing. Where is spring?

Well, there are six clumps of frog spawn in the pond, since two weeks ago, but not much sign of taddies growing, still black dots.

Saw first blue tit of the year this morning, eating at the fat balls. A grey squirrel discovered them last week, hanging upside down to gets his claws in.

Not many birds this spring, as well as that tit just a few sparrows, wood pigeons.

Last year one of the commonest birds in our garden was, surprisingly:

COLLARED DOVE
I.d. Distinctive with  grey-buff above, pinkish grey below. Black & white half neck collar. Length 31-33cm.  Feeds on: Insects, seeds and nuts.  Habitat: Found by farms, orchards, parks, gardens and churchyards. Rural and suburban gardens are preferred to city centres. UK breeding estimate: 210,000 territories. Lifespan up to 16 years

Well they have to be good for something surely?

Mind you that's not true for wasps, even though it is for squirrels (NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM).
