I started on my spring cleaning today, most of which involved putting back on my shelves all the books that had ended off of my shelves and on the floor after my impulsive fit of "e-Cataloguing" last week.  My shelves, they are really a pain.  Following supplications to my father several years ago, he brought over a self-assembly set of shelves.  They were full-height, but as I needed something to prop my blackboard up on, I split them into two parts.

The problem, by far the biggest problem, is that they are over twice as deep as they need be.  Another problem is that their is too much vertical space.  Indeed, when I switched from putting the books side by side to arranging them into vertical stacks, I was able to fit all of my books into them, instead of the several auxiliary piles I usually have.

Isn't it a horrible set-up?  They seem, really, to be designed for towel-storage.   Bah.  Oh, to have a nice set of shelves!

incs, I have two of those shelving units and, yes, they are a pain. I have a couple of other `real` bookshelves but I`m still I`m double and trebled booked, it really is an unholy mess of an arrangement. And as for storing CDs and DVDs. ARGHHHH!  I need more room, dammit!
