(the 19th, not the 17th - so this Monday).

For all of you who care about stopping the rise and increasingly 'respectability' of the [edit: silly party], please come along and support us - show that classical musicians themselves want to unite against fascism. If you doubt the odiousness of this, read the following interview with Simone Clarke - the type of advert the [edit: silly party] could only previously have dreamed of:

Wagner said Italain opera was 'a trollop', and he said French opera suggested a 'coquette with a cold smile'.

Does that make him a bad person?  Cheesy

Ian

I hope your demonstration went well.  The arguments pro contra protesting against la Clarke were fully rehearsed in the old R3 MB, and you put the case with dignity and decency.  It is not "persecution of ballerinas" to draw attention to their wicked views.

As for the supposed evils of immigration, there would be no tradition of ballet (or opera or classical music) in this country without talented people from abroad from at least Handel onwards coming to live and work here.

These boards are not the place to bring forward your politics.  If you wish to do that there are plenty of sites you can use.  I do not and have never supported the [edit: silly party].   We have had requests to support this demonstration here and in the "other place" (where we also had requests to avoid supporting Israeli artists).  Are we to see requests to support demonstrations against all and sundry?  The [edit: silly party] must be chortling at the free publicity.  I also have a feeling that demonstrating against one single woman, doing her job, is somewhat similar to the sort of bullying demonstrations the [edit: silly party] use.
Cheers

I emailed the enb requesting that they do not fire her and will vote [edit: silly party] ( for the first time in my life ) at the next election in protest against lovemusichateracism.

Which will accomplish precisely nothing, apart from the [edit: silly party] rubbing their hands with glee as they count another vote.

I agree with Soundwave, I do not think this is the appropriate forum for this topic and  it could be potentially damaging to this MB.

THREAD LOCKED

I personally feel this subject has been done to death right now (as do several Forum Members), and I do NOT want to see the same subject started again about protests against this ballerina.
