Scott,
It just seems the only explanation IF your 'new/changed' avatar had the same name as your original. It would mean they'd have to change the name of your original also.
People are complaining about avatars changing yet no-one has said WHAT is the filename or source of the new avatar when they look at the field in their profile.
My avatar is called 'decca1'. I'm now going to go the R3photobucket where there is a picture of Mozart. I'll change the name of it to 'decca1' and you will see mozart.

So, I don't need to go to my profile to change my avatar, I can just put anything into the R3photobucket/avatars page and call it 'decca1'.
That's the sort of thing that someone could be doing to change other folk's avatars.

My 'new' avatar has been uploaded from a file on my PC. If my avatar changes then I will not be happy!

Maybe. Or put your image into the R3boards/avatars; so far nobody messes with those but if Rob_G reads this then who knows  John W |

I'm not at all sure what's going on with the avatars! I went to the CBBC smilies page to pick up something and it looks as though somebody has been tinkering with some of the smilies, i.e. c|_| (ale) now looks like a skull in profile and I can't figure out at all what the >-| (bubbly) smiley is supposed to be. [edit]Waaaah! Brain fart! Of course they wouldn't have <ale> or <bubbly> with the CBBC smilies!  [edit]
