Violets are actually purple, not blue,
But there's no rhyme for purple,*
So blue has to do.

*is there?

I suppose Mary you could stretch a point and use turtle, but it doesn't seem right to say 'violets are turtle...' Undecided Roll Eyes

To find a rhyme for 'silver',
Or any 'rhymeless' rhyme,
Requires a lot of will, ver-
Bosity and time.

(Not my own, I'm afraid.)

A - talking of turtles:

The turtle lives 'twixt plated decks
That practically conceal its sex.
I think it clever of the turtle
In such a fix to be so fert(i)le.

Ogden Nash, not me, alas.

I think Bryn means cachous, not cashews.

Mary.  Rhyme for purple.   Try "hurple" old Scottish word for "hobble".
Cheers

From an Alexei Sayle song:

'I want to play a game of football with Orthodox Rabbis'
'Try to find a word which rhymes with 'Rabbis''

HO! A

I see you are a cashew nut fan. Yum. Have you tried making your own? They are a million times better than the ones you can buy in a shop. The only downside is then having to fight people off so that you can get your paws on some yourself!
