I'm flying out from Stansted a week on Friday....very early in the morning. 

Thing is, I'm rather sick of the whole Stansted express experience (I don't live in London, so have to motor down, then take said express early in the am).  Am also turned-off by extortionate airport car parking.

So - does anyone know of a nice quiet area not too far from the airport where I could park for nothing.  I'm not stingy as such, but I do believe we motorists pay enough for the necessity of being motorists without factoring in payments when our vehicles aren't moving. 

Obviously, I don't want anyone's manor to be swamped by parked holidaymakers, so please feel free to pm me if you'd prefer.
