I was not happy all day, found it hard going. But I am happy now for no reason at all. I guess I had a nice cup of tea and happy now. Happiness is a cup of tea.
He is content too.
How can one be content always.
1. One should be content if playing with a student who doesn't know 2/4 from 4/4 or 3/4.
2. One should stay content if a student you have to play with  (or your own student) doesn't understand dotted quarter (crotchet) concept and can not comprehend it.
3. One should stay content if people criticize you or are not supportive of you.
4.One should be content if one could not achieve anything in life.
5. One should be content if people don't appreciate the effort you are making

etc etc etc.

Important rule: Accompanist is always to blame. Accompanist should be able to play in any time signature the soloist decides to play (change it in the middle of the piece if he desires so).
Accompanist should play on one rehearsal (30 min) or with no rehearsal at all. The first time you play it is for examiner.
Accompanist should be able to learn a new piece at a drop of a hat if the soloist decides to change the program.

All of it should be done with no pay of course and at convinient for soloist time.

But I love to be an accompanist anyway.

Also, if anyone can hear a note you play, it's too loud.

I am going, martle. I was grumpy all day long. I suppose the cure will be to sleep it off.

We have an audibility scale for working with string players. Violin - mini-stick, una corda. Viola - lid closed, una corda. Cello - move piano to next room, lid closed, una corda. Visiting cello maestro - "The pianist is TOO LOUD"

Seriously, I feel responsible if the soloist plays badly for some reason. I am also responsible if I  am playing badly for some reason.

But the cure for this is self hypnosis: I love everyone, Everyone loves me (on some level).
People are nice. I get alone with all people. People like music. People like classical music.

Well, I am content now.

Thank you MaryJane for your vote. I love you all too. I think the problem between people and happiness is ego.
One should dig a big hall and put ego in there and bury it. Is it a good solution.
Then there will be happy accompanists, happy piano teachers and happy people.
