Then you must write to him and tell him that.

And here, as promised on another thread (the Grumpy one, I thnk) are some photos of some recently acquired shells:

Photo 1 - (L to R, row 1):  Leucozonia cerata, Distorsio kurzi and Biplex perca
Photo 1 - (L to R, row 2):  Biplex pulchellum, Bursa crumena and Haliotis planata

Photo 2 - (L to R, row 1):  Sassia (Sassia) remensa semitorta, Cypraea spadicea, big shell - Strombus thersites
Photo 2 - (L to R, row 2):  Vexillum subdivisum, Cypraea carneola (possibly subsp. proquinqua)

Photo 3 - Dwarf Cypraea mauritiana

There are more but they are too small to photograph well (mind you, some of those look not too good!)  Wink

To answer all of these in one fell swoop:

Tonybob - sometimes - depends which is nearest to my car!
John W - no (although I have shelled out for a 3 piece suit in the past)
Tonybob (again) - no (I have a few LPs from my parents but I've not played them for years - some one of them include Dohnanyi playing late Beethoven very well)!!

Jonathan, tell us about your new car then - what did you buy?  One of my sons has just bought one and he's trying to sell his old one on Ebay but the bidding is slow.

Did you trade in your old one?

Hi Milly,

Yes, the old one is traded in for a nice new Honda Civic SE - very smart looking and hopefully more reliable than the Focus was (see the grumpy thread for details of the total annoyance caused by it breaking down last week).

I've had problems selling cars privately in the past so thought it was better to trade in than faffing about to get possibly a extra few pounds.  Plus, when you try to sell a car privately, you get lots of dodgy sounding geezers ringing up and it turns out they are car dealers anyway.  I wish your son good luck in using eBay, i've heard good and bad things about selling cars by them so hopefully it will all work out ok.

Shell suits!

I worked in US for a while, wife and kids were with me, and we returned to UK in 1990 knowing little about what had been going on here. The first place we stayed was a Holiday Inn (cos tenants were still in our house) and we went down the bar for a drink. Every bloke was wearing a shell suit, I laughed at the first one I saw, then thought they were a theatre group. They were awful looking clothes eh?  Cheesy
