I have to say that wallowing in the ifs and buts of life's journey takes more time than I am prepared to give to such things. I find it easier to just go about my business and get on with it.. life is what you make it... take what it offers and do what you wish with it... it's the only way IMHO !

t-p, may I reccomend the work of  james hillman,  marian   woodman, robert bly.    what they do is make the link
between poetry-by,extension, musicianship-and ethnic symbolism in a   jungian way.    this i feel runs deeeper than self-help in that the grit of social and political reality, that s**t happens, is essential to it. bly's writing can be dense but it opens up as you get used to it. the general gist is that personal issues can be looked at mythologically, in the context of ancient and enduring, but not rigid, archetypal stories. Bly is also a poet, azmid a bit of a resugence of interest in th states currently, and he's done a lot of translation of Rumi; Hillman was a therapist,  woodman a jungian analyst.

Thank you marbleflugel. Your recommendations are very timely. The summer is approaching and I will have more time (hopefully).
I am going to check James Hillman and Marian Woodman, Robert Bly's works in the library. Public libraries here are good. I also have an access to the University library.
Thank you very much indeed.

The statistics tell us that you've spent a total of 24 days logged in at r3ok since February. Will there be space left for anyone else to post when you have "more time"Huh

Now you're just being offensive. It's supposed to be the Happy Room but you're making it distinctly unhappy at the moment.

And please stop bullying t-p.
