Hurrah!
That's my father's birthday, by the way. Must be a good sign.

The plane tickets have been purchased, Aww, Aaron... ?? Alas, no. Just shitty grammar, unless the return trip home for Christmas counts as an additional ticket (it doesn't). Though ... we're still very much hoping that the girlfriend's efforts to do post-graduate work in early music somewhere or other in the UK starting next year all work out and that we'll at least be slightly closer geographically next year, even if we're in different towns. It'll be a tough year as we deal w/ the challenges of a long-distance relationship (she'll be over a few times to visit, I'll be home a few times ... it won't be terrible), but ... we'll get through it.

"It's nice to be out of that feature film pressure now. I don't feel like I'm making a film for a kid in some suburb of America - and being told they're not going to understand a joke, or a northern saying." Ouch. On similar fronts .... I'm now the proud owner of a shiny new entry clearance visa, so maybe by the time the W&G short airs, I'll get all the jokes. I probably still won't get the northern sayings, despite my best efforts. I actually get to celebrate now. And I can officially set the pick-up date for my freight shipment.

If your dentist was as adorable as mine, Mort... He/she would have to be very, very, very, very, very adorable indeed, Don. The most adorable dentist I ever had was the one that gave me IV Valium. Lovely Guess who had to cover her eyes for that scene in Marathon Man ?
