My dad's mother's maiden name was Swallow.

Members who know my real surname are requested not to giggle at the thought of what she married.

I have read many of BBMs posts, I like his output very much.
Meanwhile I am as happy as Kubelik rehearsing Mahlers Sixth on a cloudy 1967 morning somewhere in Germany.  So.  Pretty good then.  I am very happy to be in the happy room. Roll Eyes

Very happy as I had a successful day at work, got in and Lynn said "lets go to the pub" so we did.  Several drinks and a really nice meal later, feeling happy!

I've put on 1/2 a stone in the last month!
Hurray!

Mind you, when my ex's parents saw me last weekend, her mum said: 'you've lost so much weight!' but then again, I was a stone heavier the last time that they saw me (last Christmas [sounds like a cue for a song {you shut up!} sorry  Cry]).

I feel a lot healthier than I did in September, partly down to the settling down (to some extent) of the emotions and confidence gained through actually having a job and passing my viva, but a lot to do with changing my diet to include more meat (sorry), gaining a little bit of weight (and, I suppose, walking a lot more than I used to), and drinking less (though since moving up here I seem to have been drinking more - more of a social life I suppose - and the thought's just occurred to me that it might have more to do with my gaining weight than I was originally suspecting [nuts]).

I'm hoping to settle into a regime of exercise and eating that suits me and makes me happy. Any ideas?
When I was at Huddersfield I swam twice a week (even though my technique is absolutely appalling) but I've been wary of it because of my contact lenses. Maybe I should think about it again?

hh,

It's really great to hear you more happy hh!  Just keep doing what you are doing.  (Although maybe stop adding half stones when you reach a weight you are hppy with...).

HH

Walking is good, either to work or with the ramblers, a good natural exercise Smiley

I myself have been looking at new digs and am against something too near work, as like my daily exercise regime ( nice to have the option of a bus though ).

I myself am in a rather HAPPY Smiley room mood, looks like things are working towards something with a yummy mummy I know, cor, i could soon have an instant family life Smiley
