Nice bright sunny day here in West Sussex. About 1/2 hour drive north from Brighton. I hope it stays like this , as I am taking my wife down to Brighton ato see Sweeney Todd and a meal to. Dont mind it with the cold(the weather that is!!), but rain yuk. I think we've had enough rain for the rest of this year!! Be great to have a long spell of sun, yes?

It would be great to have a long spell of sun ...or in this area I'd even settle for a short spell at the moment.  However it is January so I shan't be holding my breath.

I do love an optimist though!   Have a brilliant time at Sweeney Todd and a lovely meal afterwards.  Cheesy

P.S.  (Pack a couple of blankets, two flasks of hot drinks and some butties in the car in case of problems).

And boots, Mills! I always keep an old sleeping bag in the back of the car in winter, too: if you're stuck and it's really cold, just take your shoes off and zip it up around you as you sit. Snug!

Yes and put a shovel in the boot in case of having to dig your way out.  We only ever had to do it on one occasion in the last 30 years, but we'd have been more than a little uncomfortable had we not been prepared.  A couple of sleeping bags is a great idea!

That's just reminded me!  Grin  We were stuck at the bottom of a very steep hill near Beacon Fell, together with one other car that was in front of us.  My husband got out and helped the guy with his three passengers, push their car all the way to the top obviously supposing that they would then come back down and do the same for us.  Unfortunately they yelled "Thanks mate", jumped in their car and drove off!  Grin  Fortunately we managed it ourselves with the help of one of the locals.
