Hurrah! In the morning I'm off to Center Parcs...

Have a wonderful time Jan. I have heard good things about it. I still remember when one of the buildings was being rebuilt after a fire(?). It seemed so odd to drive through the forest everyday with a tower crane rising above the trees!

I think this is the best that I have felt for several months.  It's nice to be back to normal!

Spent a thoroughly enjoyable time in the library last night researching an article I am going to write for the Liszt Society and this morning, listened to Marc-Andre Hamelin's Haydn CD while sorting out shells.  Even went for a walk and didn't complain about being cold.
And I am eating properly again too.

Very pleased to read your post Jonathan.  Smiley Kiss
I'm happy that I've at last summoned up the energy (and had a rain-free day) to pot all the gorgeous primroses I bought a week ago, clear away all the weeds and moss from by the front door and arrange all the pots there. Some like this:
plus pink and cream ones. Great improvement on the dead pelargoniums!
I've put copper tape round to stop snail and slug attack.

I am happy because it's 5 o'clock and IT'S STILL LIGHT!!  Hurrah! No more leaving  home in the dark and coming home in the dark - it is as if there is an end in sight to this miserable Winter we have had.  There are aromatic smells wafting forth from the kitchen and I am listening to music on me cordless Sennheisers whilst bopping around and shredding kale.

Also I am happy because dear Jonathan is feeling good again, MabelJane has bought some Primulas and I am going to try a new Nigel Slater recipe for cabbage tomorrow courtesy of Moderatorix Mort.

What else could I ask for?

Erm... Milly's house being free of sand till the next gale!  Cheesy  I can at least see out of the windows now and my gardening bloke is coming to clear the drive for me tomorrow.

My iris reticulata are out.  And some dwarf tulips.  The red and blue combination is great!

And I have some primroses out (but a little shy).  Plenty of shoots all overtherest of teh garden, so burstfuls of colour are coming!

Tommo, lots of green shoots here as well. The bluebells have shouldered their way up, the muscari and alliums are waving "hello!" and the tulips (dwarf and otherwise) are starting to flaunt themselves. Yessss, I love it when the garden starts to wake up! Smiley Smiley
