I was appalled when I heard that New York City library is threatened with closure.

I know this is the Happy Room, but yes that is very depressing.
And it is possibly the only library ever to have had a major Hollywood film role (The Day After Tomorrow). Although now I write that, at least one or two films with good scenes in libraries are hovering at the edge of my recall ... but they seem to be staying there.

I went to New York recently for the first time in my life, and I was frequently very happy there.

I have eaten of the sushi, the sashimi and of the california rolls.
I have drunk of the Chablis and the something else of which I didn't catch a glance at the label but it was very nice.
I am happy.
I may have progressed beyond happy, but I'm too happy to care.

Also, my girlfriend has found the Blake quote that I emailed to her earlier on today so useful that she wants the page numbers and publisher details.

I feel marginally better about making pirate hats at 7 a.m., because it was really 8 a.m.   I think.

I'm the only happy poster it seems - there's been nothing on here since mine of yesterday.

Beautiful day, sunny and clear.  All is well!   Grin

Our pirate hats were not as good as that one I'm afraid - more Captain Pugwash really....

I guess the fabulous weather is the reason I should be in the happy room and why I should be outside enjoying it!  Now where is that catch 22 room?
