Well done on saving your neighbour's house, Anty. Must be a really good community spirit there. Had the roast turkey last night and my son came round, omg, what an evening that was and i just remembered we did'nt have any alcohol either!!

For some reason American turkeys were much bigger than what they sell in shops here.
Here turkeys are a little bigger than chickens and some chickens are bigger that turkeys.
This is another mystery that I don't know the answer to.

We are all more sorry than we can say! But perhaps "the answer" (if it exists for you) is to look to your immediate environment and assess its "positives" rather than its "negatives". It is all very easy to criticise, but very much more difficult to be positive and creative.

Maybe, hopefully the lid is down, as opposed to being up!

I once heard a very interesting presentation from an ethnomusicologist on the replacement [that's not the word is it, it was never there in the first place] of a Cartesian 'I' with a dialogic 'we' in Andean musical culture.

Syd's antecedents, clearly.

Dashing in briefly amid piles of paper  and rabid post-denying dongle to celebrate the impending return of Jazz FM courteousy of the Grauniad. Initially on line from Oct 6th then on DAB , Freeview ertc from Oct 30th .Most of the usual suspects including the amiably satirical Peter Young , Chadwick of Cheadle Hume and the mellow seasoned Sarah Ward Kiss (with whom a brief correspondence last time) signed up. Decent jumping up and down music on the wireless again soon then.
Let's hope the management don't screw it up this time Roll Eyes

(Dongle flashing green intermittently as if in armistice and occasionally full-colour version of board...)

Ah well you see bbm ,TheJazz was a different lot, stabled with classic fm and capital , and apt to play copyright-expired library music to save wonga, but these guys are independents from the 90s reborn. Hope you enjoy it.
