Hmm. That should really be spending the afternoon together - but I expect it will be a spending afternoon as well. Us girls you know, once we hit the shops.. . Nice place to have lunch too, where my best local friend and I go every week. She's meeting us there as well. Oh joy!! A happy day!

A small moment of food related happiness for me today A patient's mother brings in homemade soup for her son every day. They always smell fabulous. I was discretely drooling over the wonderful wafts from today's offering. Well, maybe not as discretely as I thought because she handed me a spoon and told me to try some. It was absolutely gorgeous! Just the best chicken noodle soup I have ever tasted, with the fragrance and taste of coriander running through it. Totally NOM! I was the subject of much soup envy from the nurses! I may have to revise my mental image of the character of the Soup Dragon

I can teach anybody my style. It is easy. One can be a good immitation, but there is only one original (don't they say something like that?).

Went to see play War Horse last night, which I might post about later. Snapped up two Hardy books today for under £5, Jude the Obscure and Wessex Tales. Now, when to read them...?

Jude the Obscure used to be my favourite Hardy, not sure having read it for a while whether it would still be. Dug out of the bookcase On the Black Hill by Bruce Chatwin. Again, I loved this book so much and the S4C (Welsh channel) film about it but always that nagging doubt, that which you have (at the time) loved so much, will it bear a repeat reading and will you still have strong feelings for it? Zola haunts me in the same way. Getting back on topic. I am happy because I have had eucalyptus tree removed and am now back on digital reception.

Favorite things to do on a Friday Night!
1. Hang out at the Mall with a few friends 2. Go to a Football game Hang with you boyfriend or girlfriend 3. Go to the movies with your family 4. Volunteer around your community 5. Write a song/poem/novel 6. Play video games/computer games/ watch TV 7. Sleep 8. Play a gig with your band
And the answer is none of the above. Go and practice some more. Short pieces by Agnew are really good.
